On-Air » Chris Callaway » Bio
While I might have been born only in the tail end of the era, classic rock music has been what I have listened to for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Waukesha, 20 minutes outside of Milwaukee, before attending UW-La Crosse, where I earned a degree in English writing and broadcast communications. I’ve been graduated for a little while now, but I can’t bring myself to move on from the Coulee Region just yet.
I’m the second of four boys in my family (my poor mother, I know), so sports has been a big part of my whole life. I was actually born in Iowa, and we named our dog after the Quad City River Bandits baseball team. I moved to Waukesha when I was five, so I grew up cheering on the Packers, Badgers and especially the Brewers. (I’ve seen Milwaukee play at four different parks, and that’s just in 2011.) I’m also a big fan of Notre Dame football and in writing for the La Crosse Tribune as well, I’ve come to re-appreciate high school sports, having played soccer and basketball in high school as well.
I’ll be bringing you your Classic Rock favorites every weekday from 10a to 2p, so shoot me an e-mail if there’s something you want to hear. Till then, take it easy. |
