>>Sean Penn Responds To Wyclef's Cocaine Allegations
Oscar winner Sean Penn is responding to Wyclef Jean's allegations that he uses cocaine. A representative for the actor tells AllHipHop.com that the difficult conditions in Haiti make it nearly impossible for anyone to do drugs. The rep states, quote, "Mr. Jean is clearly unfamiliar with the physical demands put upon volunteers in Haiti. As aid workers there, the notion of depleting the body's immune system thru the use of illicit drugs is ludicrous." The rep says that Sean Penn's J/P Haitian Relief Organization has a zero-tolerance policy for drug use, which Penn takes very seriously. The rep adds, quote, "That Mr. Jean would make such a false accusation is reckless and saddening, but not surprising."
The feud between Penn and Jean began when the former Fugees star decided to run for president of Haiti. Penn was critical of Wyclef's campaign, noting that the emcee hasn't been involved in helping the country recover from last January's earthquake. Wyclef voiced his displeasure with Penn last Friday, telling a concert crowd that the actor didn't notice the work he had been doing in Haiti because Penn was, quote, "too busy snorting cocaine." Wyclef's attempt to run for president of Haiti was cut short last month after he failed to meet the country's residency requirements.

The cable network's Andy Cohen announced on BravoTV.com, quote, "The reunion was Danielle's last appearance on 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey.'" The "reunion" in this case refers to a recent two-part special that brought Staub and her fellow cast together to reconnect and -- as the shows displayed --to rehash old feuds. Staub earned notoriety on the series for alienating her fellow housewives when they found out about her past as a stripper and her admitted criminal convictions for drug possession and extortion.
Staub is the second member of the "New Jersey" cast to leave the show. Dina Manzo, a 40-year-old interior decorator, jumped ship during the middle of the series' second season.

>>Barbara Walters Returns To ABC's "The View"
Television legend Barbara Walters is back at work. The veteran journalist returned to her ABC talk show "The View" on Tuesday to help kick off the show's new season. Walters talked about her summer scare with heart disease and her subsequent open heart surgery. She told her co-hosts that she feels "wonderful." The 80-year-old also joked that when people see her now they all ask her with concern how she's doing. Walters added, quote, "I think they expect me to be all weezing, you know, something."
Walters added that she wants to talk about heart disease to encourage women to see their doctors for cardiograms. She adds that heart disease is the number one killer of women. Walters welcomed CBS late night talk show host David Letterman to the show and told her audience she had been trying to get him on as a guest for the past 14 years. Her co-hosts also welcomed her back with a montage of greetings from celebrities like Elton John, David Beckham, and Justin Bieber. >>Regina King Says The Emmys Need More Diversity
Hollywood actress Regina King is taking issue with the Emmy awards. In a letter posted on "The Huffington Post," King says she's alarmed by the ceremony's lack of diversity. She writes, quote, "Up to and including this year, there have been only 53 non-white actors nominated for Emmys out of nearly one-thousand possible nominations in the top four acting categories for drama and comedy. I've worked in television nearly all of my professional life, and that statistic is quite sobering to me." King goes on to say that she was saddened that "Sesame Street" and "227" actress Alaina Reed Hall was not included in this year's memoriam. The "Southland" star notes that Hall's 12 years on an "American institution" deserved to be remembered. She adds, quote, "You have to admit, to not recognize her contribution to television baffles the mind."
Regina King acknowledges that not every actor can be included in the Emmys' memoriam, which leads her to close her letter by asking, quote, "What is the process in determining who will and will not be recognized during the Emmy memoriam?"

The project -- titled "Reagan" -- will trace the 40th Commander-In-Chief's life from his days as a boy to the height of his power in the Oval Office.
