The Central Dispatch: 7-17-18

Last night was the Homerun Derby. Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Schwarber fell in the final to Bryce Harper of the host Washington Nationals. It’s amazing how excited we get for batting practice. Today, I thought we would look ahead at the Twins second half. The beloved Twinkies sit 7 and a half games behind the Cleveland Indians in second place in the AL Central. Those two teams will face each other ten more times before the season bids farewell. The Twins will have the luxury of facing the rest of the Central division (The worst division in baseball) 33 more times. So, there is ground to be made up. They also have 30 more games against teams with winning records…so it might just stay up and down. As it sits, the Twins are already hitting above their average so, I say, whatever happens is a win for Twins fans! That is your Central Dispatch on Classic Rock 100.1
