The All Star break is officially over and baseball resumes tonight with the Cubs and Cards all alone, center stage. The rest of the league will resume tomorrow. I thought we would look at the other divisions in baseball today. Starting with the NL, the Dodgers lead the west by a half game over the Diamondbacks. The NL West is probably the most competitive division in the league right and it will be interesting to see what Manny Machado does to that race. The NL East is the Surprise. The Phillies lead it by a half game over the Braves and neither of those teams were supposed to be very good at all this year. Then there is the AL. The East is the best division in baseball and hosts the top two teams in the league. The Red Sox lead the Yankees by 4 and half, but it should be noted that the Yankees would lead every other division in baseball. In the West, your reigning World Series Champion Houston Astros are on top of the surprise Mariners by 5 games. Top five teams in all of baseball are the Red Sox, Yankees, Astros, Mariners and Cubs. Wow. That is your Central Dispatch on Classic Rock 100.1
