The Central Dispatch: 8-16-18

The Cubs got a solid start out of a pitcher (finally) and beat the Brew Crew 8-4 earning a series split with Milwaukee yesterday. That leaves the Brewers 3 games out of first and, not to be the bearer of bad news, one game ahead of St Louis. The Cards are hot right now and Matt Carpenter looks the best hitter on the planet…quite possibly the solar system. IT is going to get crazy in the NL Central as the season comes to a close. Cubs and Brewers will see each other again on September 3rd but Milwaukee does battle with the Cards starting tomorrow. The Twins lost to Pittsburgh last night, and fall even further. Yikes. Oh, also, Javy Baez for NL MVP. That is your central Dispatch on Classic Rock 100.1
